Nineteenth Amendment
This Amendment was passed by Congress on June 4, 1919 and ratified on August 18, 1920. Though the 15h Amendment of the U.S. Constitution gave all male citizens the right to vote, the 19th allowed female citizens to vote as well. In 1878, many suffragists, including Stanton, first brought up the drafted amendment.
